Sewing 101

Adding a zipper to your sewing can feel like a bit of a magic trick. But once you learn the secret, it's easy - we'll be applying one to our group sewing project. In this 2nd class of the series, you'll learn about 3 types of zippers: hidden, jean and bag. We'll also cover basic machine maintenance so your machine keeps zipping along! Project: how to make a zippered cosmetic bag. *Some basic sewing experience or the BYOM class required, and your own sewing machine. 

Time: 2-4:30pm

Tuition: $65 for one single class. $180 for the series of 3. Pay in person.

Series: #2 in a series of 3.

Materials:

What you need to bring: Your sewing machine, power cord/pedal + any accessories/pieces that came with your machine.

Instructor:

Susie Shaughnessy started sewing with our Mom around age 6. And it wasn't just doll clothes. She was learning the skills and craft on Nana’s 1936 Singer sewing machine our Mom kept at the ready to create curtains, prom dresses, costumes and treasured pieces of clothing, passed down through all our sisters. Susie is owner/designer/pattern-maker/all-around-creative-cat at Crawford Denim & Vintage. A company she created from her affinity for vintage styles, made for today.
